Charities that was initiated by Sriguru in Malaysia has extensively contributed to the needy.
The more you give, The more you receive
Everyone has probably heard this quote at one point in their life. It is a commonly used saying to encourage charity work.
Swamiji has beautifully elaborated this saying in one of his satsangs:
Each and every one of us have our own devas (gods) and pitrus (ancestors). They are our guardian angels, the ones who look after, protect and bless us. When we help one who is in need, in any way, be it provisions, services, time or money, they become happy, even if it is just for that moment. When they are happy, their devas and pitrus are happy as well and will bestow their blessings upon us for bringing hapiness to them. These blessings benefit not only us, but our families as well. The blessings we receive encompasses health, wealth, love and happiness, thus the saying ‘ The more you give, the more you receive’ .
Power of words
Sriguru Sai Preeth Swamiji, says, we are connected to our world or people through words and thoughts. Our words are influenced by our thoughts. Thus according to swamiji ‘Words’ are very powerful, they have the power to bring about positive changes and negative changes in a person. “Words have the power to influence the expression of genes thus controlling our emotions and our physiological process”, swamiji says.
There is enormous scientific research to support this statement on the web(One has just to Google search only).
Since emotions and physiological process are controlled by words, Swamiji encourages everyone to use positive words which induces love, happiness, peace and other words which can bring about a positive transformation or motivate a person to scale greater heights. Words which are deterrent; hate, sad, criticism and others which bring about negative emotions, thoughts and demotivate a person are to be refrained at all cost especially so when dealing with children and the less fortunate. If at all you are unhappy about any situation, you must try to control your thoughts and words.
Finally, Swamiji says the moderate use of words and maintaining silence frequently brings about calmness of mind.
A child like person
Sriguru once said, “ Innocent and child-minded person are blessed.”
You may have heard of people who asked for something and beyond all expectation it came true for them. Generally these happen to people who are in faith. Now, let’s say you want to buy a car, you will start thinking, I need money to buy the car, at least 7 lakhs but I only have 500 rupees in my wallet. Not possible, not possible, not possible. The moment you say not possible, you are also saying you don’t want it. At one level, you are creating a desire that you want it and at another level, you are creating a desire that you don’t want it. So, in this conflict, it may not happen.
Faith only works for those who have simple mind. Someone who has some faith in God who has a simple mind. Someone who is innocent.
People who think too much, it will never work for them. A child-minded person who has simple faith in his God, he goes to the temple and say, “Sai Baba, I want a car. My family don’t have any car. I want to help my family. I don’t know how, but you must make it for me”. In his mind, there are no negative thoughts of whether it will happen or not or how it will happen. These thoughts are removed by a simple act of faith. Now, he believe Shirdi Baba will do it for him and it will happen.
