Are you happy?

In Mahabharata, when the 5 pandavas were exiled to the forest, King Yudhisthira was very depressed as he could no longer provide for his family and he felt he has become a  burden for everyone….

One of the brahmana named Saunaka stepped forward and spoke to the King in order to relieve his intense grief…Saunake said to Yudhisthira, “mental grief is one of the major causes of disease”.

If one put a hot iron rod in a pot of water, the water soon becomes hot. Similarly, the burning of mental grief causes innumerable bodily miseries. On the other hand, just as water easily puts out a fire, mental distress can be quickly dispelled by enlightenment in real knowledge…

This is the main reason why our Sriguru Saipreeth Swamiji always asks us if we are happy and to be happy always…

Happiness doesn’t mean we have zero problems or nothing to worry about in our life. A human being will definitely have our own set of problem. However, everything is just temporary.

Nothing is permanent as God gave us a body and soul on a loan basis only.

‘How to follow a Guru’ (20/Aug/2020)

When we get a real Guru, who is really connected to GOD, You just have to follow Him, meditate on Him, respect and love Him, feel his presence always……

Don’t  try to learn anything or expect anything from Him, just follow Him and feel His presence. Because You have already reached there, then why should  You …..

That presence will give You spiritual upliftment and knowledge that is needed and your worldly life will be contented.
